Connecting JV Manager 2 Fantasos with Joomla

Connecting JV Manager 2 Fantasos with Joomla

In version 1.6 of Fantasos, John Delavera has introduced a new feature (actually more than one), which will automatically create an account in one of four different Forum Systems.

  • vBulletin
  • SMF
  • phpBB
  • Invision Power Board

This now means that Joomla can easily be integrated by using a bridge plugin for Joomla

I have tested this with two of the four systems above and as a vBulletin owner, have decided to implement the bridge with vBulletin.

In addition, as I have more than one installation of Joomla, I have added another plugin which will then replicate the user credentials to all of my Joomla sites.

Although Joomla is a GNU product, the plugins I am using are not and come at an extra charge.

All of the above is made possible by connecting directly with the Forum mySQL database and checking for the existence of a user account created automatically by Fantasos.

At the time of writing this, a fellow Joomla owner and developer is also working on a subscription based account creation system to more tightly integrate the signup and recurring subscription service by connecting directly with Fantasos.

JVManager 2 Fantasos

Hi,

I will be post this in the Uncle HQ Blog too as it is very important!

JVManager 2 Fantasos has gone through several upgrades recently and now includes a mechanism to link to forums, which include SMF, phpBB, vBulletin and Invision.

When a user creates an account, buys a product or service or opens an affiliate account, the system now has the capability of automatically creating a user account in the appropriate forum script.

From what I understand, this is only the first round of upgrades and other popular systems like help desks and CMS scripts will be added.

This brings me to my next point.

I have had some reliable information that "In September" the price of JVManager 2 Fantasos will go UP, to coincide with the release of a major new CMS enabled upgrade.

Currently you can buy for $2,997.00 - and I am sorry I don't know how much the price increase will be.

What I can tell you, is that if you follow this plan between now and when the price increases, you will save yourself a lot of money.

  • Buy from a master reseller for around $97.00 (I am a too)
  • Apply to the reseller for your exclusive 20% discount for JVManager 2 Fantasos and upgrade.
  • By upgrading, you will save more than the $97.00 you just spent and can currently spread the cost over 2 or 3 months.
